1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Memorise (“the App”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not accept them, do not use the App.

We may update these terms from time to time. Updated terms apply once published. For material changes, we will notify you in the App or via email (if provided). If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may stop using the App and cancel your subscription before they take effect.

2. About Memorise

Memorise is a Scripture memorization application operated by Ray Moore (trading as “Memorise”), based in New Zealand. The App helps users memorize Bible verses through spaced repetition, reminders, and optional anonymized community statistics.

3. Eligibility

Age Requirements

You must be at least 13, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction (16 in many EU countries). Users below this age may not use the App. Parents or guardians are responsible for any minor’s use.

Geographic Availability

Memorise is available globally. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws.

4. Licence to Use the App

You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App for personal Scripture memorization.

Restrictions

You may not:

• Reverse engineer or modify the App
• Bulk extract or republish Scripture
• Use the App commercially
• Interfere with security features
• Use automated tools (bots/scrapers)
• Attempt unauthorized system access
• Violate any applicable law
• Infringe intellectual property rights

5. Scripture Licensing & Content Use

The App includes verses from the New Living Translation (NLT) under licence.

Allowed

You may view, memorize, and study Scripture in the App for personal use.

Not Allowed

You may not:

• Republish or redistribute Scripture
• Export or extract Scripture in bulk
• Use Scripture for commercial purposes
• Treat the App as a replacement for licensed Bible products

All Scripture remains the property of the relevant rights holders.

6. Subscriptions

Memorise requires a paid subscription to use. Subscription plans are available at $5 NZD/month or $50 NZD/year.

• Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period (if offered) is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency at the time of purchase.
• Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
